Travelling Academy of Dramatic Arts (T.A.D.A.) respects and values your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal information that you share with us. T.A.D.A. may collect sensitive information, such as health details, to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants. As a result, we are required to comply with the Australian Privacy Principles under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

  • Parents or guardians providing information on behalf of a child under 18 years old

We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child under 18 years old without the express consent of a parent or guardian.

For adult students or participants:

  • Full name, age and home address

  • Contact details (e.g. phone number, email address)

  • Emergency contact details

  • Billing or payment information

  • Relevant medical or support needs

  • Media consent

For students or participants under 18 years old:

  • Full name, age and home address

  • Parent/guardian contact details (e.g. phone number, email address)

  • Billing or payment information (if applicable)

  • Emergency contact details

  • Relevant medical or support needs

  • Media consent (provided by a parent or guardian)

We only collect information that is reasonably necessary for the operation of our programs and services. Please do not provide additional sensitive information unless specifically requested.

4. How We Collect Information

  • Third-party platforms such as Jotform, Wix, and secure payment processors (e.g. Square)

  • Email or direct communication

5. Why We Collect Your Information

T.A.D.A. collects personal information to:

  • Register students in our classes and programs

  • Ensure the health, safety, and wellbeing of participants

  • Communicate with parents, guardians, and adult students

  • Manage billing and administration

  • Promote our services on social media and other platforms (where media consent is provided)

6. Media Use and Consent

Photos and videos may be taken during classes or performances for use on our website, social media platforms, and promotional materials. This will only occur with prior written consent.

  • Adult participants may provide or withdraw their own consent.

  • Parents or guardians must provide consent on behalf of a child under 18 years old.

Consent can be withdrawn at any time by contacting us.

7. How We Store and Protect Information

All personal information is securely stored in:

  • Encrypted or password-protected digital formats

  • Locked or otherwise secured physical formats (if applicable)

Only authorised T.A.D.A. staff have access to participant information for legitimate administrative purposes. We take all reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure.

Retention periods:

  • Health and support-related details are deleted within 12 months of a participant’s final class, unless required for legal or safety reasons.

  • Financial and administrative records are retained for a minimum of 7 years, in accordance with Australian taxation and business laws.

 

After these periods, information is securely deleted or de-identified.

8. Sharing Your Information

T.A.D.A. does not sell or rent personal information.

We may share limited information with trusted third-party service providers to support administration and service delivery, including:

  • Payment platforms (e.g. Square)

  • Digital form services (e.g. Jotform, Wix)

These providers may store or process data overseas. We take reasonable steps to ensure any information handled outside Australia is managed in accordance with Australian Privacy Standards.
