TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Travelling Academy of Dramatic Arts (T.A.D.A.) provides after school theatre sports classes, as well as short courses and community events that are focused on improvisation, teamwork and confidence development.

The following terms and conditions detail our class expectations and outline the responsibilities of both T.A.D.A. and all participants. By enrolling, you agree to help us maintain a respectful and safe environment for everyone where creativity can thrive.
Personal Details
I, and my child (where applicable), acknowledge and understand that:

All information collected by T.A.D.A. through intake forms, emails, phone calls and other forms of communication will remain private and confidential at all times.

Information collected is for administrative purposes only and kept on secure digital and physical storage areas.

Any changes regarding personal information (e.g. personal or emergency contact details, changes in pick up arrangements etc.) need to be communicated to the business in a timely manner in order to keep our records up to date.

T.A.D.A. will maintain processes for the safe and secure disposal of my / my child’s information following the conclusion of our time with T.A.D.A.
Payments
I acknowledge and understand that payment for T.A.D.A. services is to be done prior to the commencement of the chosen class. In regards to each product:

Theatresports class payments are to be completed in 1 x 10 week bulk payment.

Short course payments are to be completed in 1 x 6 week bulk payment.
-
T.A.D.A. Nights entrance fees are paid on a “per student” basis and are to be completed at least one day prior to the commencement of the event.
I acknowledge that all payments are processed by credit / debit cards and completed on the business’s website through provided links.
I accept that refunds will not be given or offered.
Cancellations
I, and my child (where applicable), acknowledge and understand that:

If a student wishes to cancel their enrolment in any theatresports or short courses provided by T.A.D.A., they (or their parent if the student is under 18 years old) must provide a written notification of their intention to leave the class. I understand that notice must be given last least 14 business days before the intended cancellation date. I acknowledge that following the agreed upon cancellation date, the students’ spot in the class will be forfeited.

In rare circumstances, scheduled T.A.D.A. classes or events may be disrupted or cancelled due to:

Staff illness
-
Venue closures
-
Unforeseen events such as weather events or public health emergencies.

In such instances, I understand that T.A.D.A. will make reasonable efforts to notify individuals in advance prior to commencement of the affected lessons or events. Further, I acknowledge that affected individuals may be offered credit towards future term payments as compensation.

I acknowledge and understand that across all circumstances, no refunds will be provided.
Theatresports Class Commitments
I, and my child (where applicable), acknowledge and understand:

Theatresports lessons operate between 4:00pm and 8:00pm on allocated class days. Lessons will occur within this window.
-
Lessons will be held at a designated location during scheduled class times. I will be notified in advance of any changes to class times or locations. I also understand that students are expected to uphold all rules and expectations of the venue at all times.

Students are expected to attend their scheduled session each week for the duration of the term (10 weeks), unless unable to do so due to illness or other circumstances.

Theatresports classes follow the school term calendar and will be closed during public and school holiday breaks.
-
T.A.D.A. Junior Theatresports classes are for school students who are grades 3 – 6.
-
T.A.D.A. Senior Theatresports classes are for high school students (Grades 7 – 12).
-
T.A.D.A. Young Adult Theatresports classes are for people over 18 years old who have completed high school.

Theatresports lessons vary in length to compliment class ages, noting:

Junior Theatresports classes run for 50 minutes, with 10 minutes allocated for feedback and class transition. I understand that billing will reflect a 60 minute session.

Senior Theatresports classes run for 65 minutes with 10 minutes allocated for feedback and class transition (Billing will reflect a 75 minute session).
-
Young Adult Theatresports classes run for 80 minutes with 10 minutes allocated for feedback and class transition (Billing will reflect a 90 minute session).

Students are not allowed to bring in food onto the premises.
Improv 101 Short Course Commitments
I, and my child (where applicable), acknowledge and understand:

Improv 101 Short Course lessons operate between 4:00pm and 8:00pm on allocated days. Lessons will occur within this window.

Lessons will be held at a designated location during scheduled class times. I will be notified in advance of any changes to class times or locations. I also understand that students are expected to uphold the rules and expectations of the venue at all times.

Students are expected to attend their scheduled session each week for the duration of the course (6 weeks), unless unable to do so due to illness or other circumstances.

Improv 101 Short Courses have allocated classes for different ages. I understand that there is a class for High School Students (Grades 7 – 12) and another class for Young Adults. I understand that details regarding their placement will be emailed to me.

Improv 101 sessions run for 90 minutes, with 10 minutes at the end allocated for feedback and class transition.

Students are not allowed to bring in food onto the premises, and are required to finish any brought in food before the commencement of the class.
T.A.D.A. Night Commitments
I, and my child (where applicable), acknowledge and understand that:

T.A.D.A. nights will occur between 6:30pm and 8:30pm on an allocated day. Session duration will vary depending on the event being hosted.

Arrival times for events will be minimum 10 minutes before the designated start time.
-
Social nights will be held at specific locations. I understand that specific details regarding location and timing will be shared on social media platforms.

T.A.D.A. nights will be advertised for specific groups of people depending on the type of event that is advertised. These include:

Junior Students (primary school students in Grades 3 – 6)
-
Senior Students (high school students in Grades 7 – 12)
-
Adults (individuals that are 18 years old and older)
-

Participants that sign up for the night will be encouraged to attempt all activities and experiences offered during the event.
-
All individuals will be required to remain on site throughout the duration of the full event.
-
Any additional materials required for a social night, such as props, will be communicated on social media platforms.
-
Participants are not allowed to bring in food onto premises, and are required to finish any brought in food before the commencement of the event(s).
Limitation of Liability
I, and my child (where applicable), acknowledge and understand that:

While all reasonable care is taken by T.A.D.A., its staff and venues in creating a safe environment, participation in drama activities will involve inherent physical, social and emotional risks.
-
T.A.D.A. shall not and will not be held liable for any injury, loss or damage to self or personal items during or as a result of participating in classes, short courses, events or other related activities.

All students and parents / guardians (where applicable) agree to release T.A.D.A. and its staff from any liability arising from such incidents.
Therapeutic Disclaimer
I, and my child (where applicable), acknowledge and understand that:

T.A.D.A sessions, while potentially personally and socially enriching, are not therapeutic or designed to be therapeutic in nature.
-
T.A.D.A. services are not a substitute for speech therapy, occupational therapy or social skills intervention support.
-
T.A.D.A staff are not therapists and do not provide clinical assessments, targeted interventions or specialist therapeutic support.
-
T.A.D.A. programs are not designed for individuals with complex behavioural, intellectual, emotional, sensory or physical needs. If myself or my child requires therapeutic assistance, I understand that it is recommended that we seek support from qualified health professionals.
Absences
I, and my child (where applicable), acknowledge and understand that:

If a student is unable to attend due to illness, they (or their parents if under the age of 18) must notify the business at least 5 hours prior to the commencement of the affected class or event.
-
If a student is unable to attend due to non-illness reasons, such as appointments of personal commitments, they (or their parents if under 18 years of age) must notify the business at least 24 hours prior to the commencement of the affected class or event.
-
In the case of an extended absence (for example – holidays), I agree to notify the business at least 5 business days prior to the affected class or event of the students’ absence.
-
If a student has not attended a session for an extended period of time, as defined as being more than six consecutive absences, they must notify the business either by phone call or email of when they will be returning to class.
I understand that in all instances, sessions lost will not be rescheduled or refunded.
Photographs, Videos and Social Media
I, and my child (where applicable), acknowledge and understand that:

Photos and videos will be taken during theatresports lessons, short course lessons and social nights to celebrate student achievement and share highlights from classes on social media platforms.

Some photographs may be used for promotional material on the T.A.D.A. website.
-
All images and videos may be subject to additional consent at the time of capture.

For the safety and privacy of all participants:
-
Full names will not be used.
-
Identifying markers (e.g. school logos) will be blurred, cropped out or removed where possible.
-

Students can opt out of being recorded or photographed. They, or their parents if under 18 years of age, can indicate this on the intake form or in writing at a later date.
Respect, Complains and Feedback
I, and my child (where applicable), acknowledge and understand that:

Communication between T.A.D.A. and myself is welcome at any time either before and after class in person, over the phone or by email.
-
T.A.D.A. is committed to providing a safe, welcoming and respectful environment for all students, families and staff.
-
T.A.D.A. does not tolerate abuse, violence, neglect, exploitation, harassment or unkindness in any form. All clients, staff, and parents / guardians where applicable, are expected to treat others with respect, patience and courtesy at all times while engaging with our services.

If a student fails to uphold the school’s values and expectations at all times, a review of their enrolment and possible termination of services may occur. In extreme cases where the wellbeing and safety of the staff, students or members of the community (e.g. parents) is compromised, enrolment may be immediately terminated.

If I have a question regarding the services provided, I am encouraged to speak directly and respectfully with the teacher at T.A.D.A. All concerns will be treated seriously and handled with discretion.

T.A.D.A. staff may invite me or my child to provide feedback on services through casual conversations or formal tools such as a Participation Satisfaction Survey. I understand that feedback is always welcome.
